Program Offerings
- Varsity Choir (9-12 grade, non-auditioned)
- Treble Choir (10-12 grade, non-auditioned female singers)
- Concert Choir (10-12 grade, auditioned)
All choirs meet every day. In Choir students develop their vocal skills, enhance their sight reading skills, learn proper breathing, proper vocal health, elements of music theory and history, and develop a unity of purpose - excellence!
We perform four major concerts each year: Fall, Holiday, Spring and Pops. In addition, each choir takes part in the Region Large Group Contest every spring. Treble Choir participates in the Conference Women's Choir Festival each year. Concert Choir tours every spring with a different location selected each year.
Lettering
Students in the curricular program may letter in choir by taking part on a variety of activities that build points towards a letter. The Irondale Choir letter is meant to be a symbol of continuous hard work, dedication to the program and music in the community, and a development of skills as a singer and young musician.
