Sixteen years as a software engineer for a major corporation led me to a position consulting to the NFL working with their stats software.  For the NFL, we developed the first automated real-time scoreboard on the Web for any sport. But five seasons and five Super Bowls later, the contract and the dream ended. By that time we had expanded into VarsityOnline, one of the first and largest high school sports web sites in the nation. My position was Founding Architect and Lead Web Developer. It was during those years that my passion for web development grew. I was amazed to watch the site develop a viral following in many states. But after making a run at taking the company to a national presence, we went down in the Internet implosion, along with most of the other dot-coms. And I decided to continue with my passion.
